About
PC Janse van Rensburg is a South African artist, born in Cape Town in 1955. After graduating as an architect from the University of Pretoria in 1979, he practiced architecture before embracing his passion for painting. His journey into the art world began in 2000 when he joined the Izak Vollgraaff Art Studio in Cape Town.
PC also co-founded SiteSpecific, a land art collaboration with his sister, Anni Snyman, and various other artists and friends.
His work is known for its spontaneous energy, where he lets the paint guide him, often completing pieces in one session. He primarily works with oil on canvas but also explores steel and land art techniques, focusing on human transience and emotional depth themes.
PC’s work has been exhibited in various notable galleries throughout South Africa including Welgemeendt, AVA Art Gallery, The Cape Gallery, Rust & Vrede.
